This is a novel in a different sense. A work of non-fiction which follows a real event as closely as possible by bringing together all clues and evidence left behind. There were many things I enjoyed about this book. The life and death of Chris McCandless, his quest for freedom and discovery of the human spirit. The willingness to push oneself to the limit. I recommend this book for painting an unbiased world of travel and rubber tramps as well as perspective changing ideas. An excellent work, perhaps cautionary in nature, but more pursuing the thought that experience without risks is dead.
