@Emily, love the comment. At first I thought, ‘oh crap, maybe I didn’t review it well and she wasn’t prepared.’ Then I thought, ‘no, I used words like raw terror, disturbing, desperation, and no hope, and that about sums it up.’ ha ha. I maybe should have stated that the disturbing parts (and for me there were two, and I’m pretty sure you know the ones I’m talking about) were THE MOST DISTURBING things I have probably ever read, and I went through a big horror phase a while back so that’s saying something. No matter whether you loved it or hated it I have to admit it had staying power. And your food storage crazies aren’t crazy. I plan to be fully prepared when the zombies come.

I read this after reading your review. While reading it I almost threw it across the room! It was very disturbing and troubled me. I didn’t like it as I was reading it, but I have been thinking about it a lot ever since. I finished it a few weeks ago and I still find myself brooding over it. It explores some very interesting and rather important themes.
And I’ve had a sudden resurgence of home food storage crazies. Weird, I know.
